I have all the films that I am placing on here,
I will give my thoughts on each of these wonderous tales, from a master of the animated
World of Ghibli.

My Neighbour Totoro: 1988

Story Line

Two young girls, Mei and Satsuki, move with their father into a new house which is close to the hospital that their mother is in. Not far away from the girls new home is an amazing Camphor  tree which is home to the Totoro, who are spirits of the forest. The children settle down well but are impatient for their mother to come home from the hospital. Many things happen and it's not too long before the girls find the Totoro and make friends with it.
Then comes a blow, their mother can't come home as promised which upsets the girls, Mei the young one in particular. The rest is adventure as was the beginning, a film that will warm the cockles of your heart , and one that your children, grand children and great grand ones, will watch time and time again.
This is one of the very first Miyazaki film I watched, always with subtitles, though the English actor voices are very good, but never do dubbing in any Asian film. That has to be a step to far. Most of my favourite films are usually Asian, which takes in; Korean, their TV Drama's are amazing and available on Dream Passion.com which is my favourite Korean site. Then  YesAsia which deals with a lot of really good Chinese films.  and  particularly www.force-anime.com which is a really good Japanese Website. Strange really my love for these, cause I am of course as Welsh as the hills here in Pontybodkin.
When the last Dr. Who (David Tennant) came to our screens with the story of the little white creatures, I smiled for Nausicaa had them way back in 84, and then similar ones in  My Neighbour Totoro a few year
s later...

Little Ones

Grave of the Fireflies

Story Line

Set during World War II, the film focuses on the lives of fourteen year old Seita and his four-year-old sister Setsuko after they are orphaned when their mother is killed during an air-raid over Kobe, Japan. After having a falling-out with their aunt, they move into an abandoned shelter. With no surviving relatives and their emergency funds and rations depleted, Seita and Setsuko must struggle to survive their hardships as well as those of their country
.
The storyline with this film is very sad and could be disturbing for little ones. I think a child would need to know the concepts of war before watching it.

Grave of the Fireflies

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind

Plot Summary, by Bonvnguyens
In the post-apocalyptic future, large parts of the world have been swallowed up by forests of poisonous fungi. The remaining humans live near the fungus and its monstrous insectoid inhabitants, trying to prevent its spread. One of the human kingdoms, the peaceful Valley of Wind, loves its gentle Princess Nausicaä and her father the king, but their peace is about to be broken, as they are swallowed up in the machinations of their larger, warmongering neighbours. However, Nausicaä has hidden potential, and may yet change the fate of the world.

This was one of the very first Miyazaki film I watched and I was completely hooked. Some get hooked on smoking and drinking. Personally give me a cup of tea and a good film.

I found the contact address above the best gateway to see the museum

The words below come from Wikipedia, the ever faithful Wiki, xxx

Miyazaki Hayao, his book, his story.

MIYAZAKI HAYAO, A
nd his Museum.

History

Planning for the museum began in 1998. Construction started in March 2000, and the museum officially opened October 1, 2001.Hayao Miyazaki designed the museum himself, using drawn storyboards similar to the ones he makes for his films. The design was influenced by European architecture, such as the hilltop village of Calcata in Italy. Miyazaki's aim was to make the building itself part of the exhibit.

Permanent Exhibitions

On the bottom floor is an exhibit room showing the history and science of animation. One of the displays uses models of Ghibli characters, each in a slightly different pose, arranged in a circle on a spinning table. The models and poses are created like animation frames, which becomes apparent when the table spins in synchronization with a flickering stroboscope. The light flashes illuminate each model as it passes the same spot, creating the illusion of movement and showing how animation works.

On the first floor is a mock-up of an animation studio, with sketches, story boards, reference material and more to look at. Also shown is the process of creating an animated film, from sketches, storyboarding, keyframing, cleanup, coloring, background painting, etc.

THESE LITTLE TRAILERS MAINLY FOR PONYO BY THE SEA, AND FORWARNED THEY ARE IN MANY DIFFERENT LANGUAGES, WHICH I KNOW WILL PLEASE YOU ALL.

ANOTHER SMALL CONTRIBUTION, NEW TO THE SCENE.
