I have all the films that I am placing on here,
I will give my thoughts on each of these wonderous tales, from a master of the animated
World of Ghibli.

My Neighbour Totoro: 1988

Story Line

Two young girls, Mei and Satsuki, move with their father into a new house which is close to the hospital that their mother is in. Not far away from the girls new home is an amazing Camphor  tree which is home to the Totoro, who are spirits of the forest. The children settle down well but are impatient for their mother to come home from the hospital. Many things happen and it's not too long before the girls find the Totoro and make friends with it.
Then comes a blow, their mother can't come home as promised which upsets the girls, Mei the young one in particular. The rest is adventure as was the beginning, a film that will warm the cockles of your heart , and one that your children, grand children and great grand ones, will watch time and time again.
This is one of the very first Miyazaki film I watched, always with subtitles, though the English actor voices are very good, but never do dubbing in any Asian film. That has to be a step to far. Most of my favourite films are usually Asian, which takes in; Korean, their TV Drama's are amazing and available on Dream Passion.com which is my favourite Korean site. Then  YesAsia which deals with a lot of really good Chinese films.  and  particularly www.force-anime.com which is a really good Japanese Website. Strange really my love for these, cause I am of course as Welsh as the hills here in Pontybodkin.
When the last Dr. Who (David Tennant) came to our screens with the story of the little white creatures, I smiled for Nausicaa had them way back in 84, and then similar ones in  My Neighbour Totoro a few year
s later...
